The title says it all.I actually got this same headunit under another listing - I'm talking same brand and all, but I got it for a screaming deal at $59. Even with the 50% off coupon on here dropping the price down to $75, this unit kicks ass. It's not without its flaws, but for a sub-$100 headunit you get: Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a DVD player, 17* band EQ, digital sound processing, an actual volume knob, Bluetooth calling mic AND backup camera included!!So, first thing is the pros: this unit looks fantastic, boots up fairly quickly, and connection with your phone is practically instantaneous. I install audio equipment for a living and boot time is about on par with most pioneers, Kenwoods, etc. It might be a little slower, by a hair, but those units cost $300-$700 so there's that. It's got every connection feature imaginable - your beloved Aux port remains, plus USB, CD/DVD, and Bluetooth. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both work great, and it works via the USB port on the unit.Sound quality is more than acceptable once you set it up right, which can be a task to say the least, but I'll expand on that in the cons. This radio is part of my dirt-cheap audio setup: I'm running the literal cheapest speakers and whatnot I could find on here and seeing how good I can make it sound. I have 6.75" knockoff pioneers I got off of here for $15, 6x9's in the rear for $27, tweeters were $5, and as mentioned this radio was $59. And after some tweaking and using a decibelmeter I got for $10, she sounds pretty frickin' good. Not as good as my other car which has [actual] Pioneer tweeters, Polk speakers running off an Alpine amp, and an 8-inch DS18 sub hooked to a Taramps amp, but of course it wouldn't.Radio comes in decently clear, I live in a medium-sized city and don't have issues pulling in my normal stations, however I rarely listen to the radio anymore anyways. Also, what a bargain that this thing comes with an external mic for handsfree calling, but the real standout is the backup camera with LEDs that's INCLUDED. You also are able to show parking lines, although remember that's a rough guide, but for some I'm sure it's a nice feature to have. The unit has a 16-band equalizer that's technically a 17- or 18-band EQ depending on how you tweak some DSP functions. Maybe a couple years ago you would have been lucky to get a middle band EQ with your bass & treble. It's especially helpful when you aren't spending much on speakers in the first place.Ok, so the cons - here they are: nitpicky as they are, I wish this would have came with a standalone GPS antenna and service. My phone often has issues staying connected to charge (it's a device issue, it's probably time to upgrade). But my other car has a unit with an antenna attached to the roof, and it's came in handy when I've had a dead phone and been hours away from home or in a place with poor/no reception. I'd definitely pay extra for a unit with that feature in addition to CarPlay/AA, but again I'm nitpicking because it appears NO manufacturer has done it. Makes sense, but it's still a great unit nonetheless. The touchscreen is not capacitive. For some this is an issue, but it isn't for me, however it's worth noting. Again, note the price. The digital sound processing...let's just say I'm glad it has the tuning it has. I've never seen a DSP with such advanced features, but the defaults make the radio sound awful. V-Bass (bass boost) is set to +15dB gain @ 150Hz, I set mine to a modest +5dB boost at 65Hz. That's where my 6.75" speakers roll off. You can adjust the gain and the frequency it's set at, so play with it a little. Same for the loudness, you can set it to raise at 400Hz, 800Hz, or 2400Hz. By default I want to say it's set at 2400Hz with a 15dB gain again. I left it checked on 2400Hz because that frequency isn't in the graphic EQ, but the gain is at 0. The Emperor (time alignment) is straightforward. You can set it for driver, passenger, all back, or customize the delay in milliseconds. As for the graphic EQ, it's goofy, but again it's nice. You can only go ±8dB, but you really shouldn't need any more adjustment than that if you don't want distortion and blown speakers. It STARTS at 100Hz though, and ends at 18kHz, which is really odd. Most 10 bands start at about 32Hz and go to 16kHz. The bass boost (VBass) is adjustable, though, so I'd slide that frequency adjuster to somewhere between 30-80Hz to make another band EQ.Last, I wish it had wireless CarPlay/Android Auto but beggars can't be choosers. It has it, it works. Pay more if you want that.
