The suction on this mirror is far better than the last two I had (both of which came shattering down after a while). However, if you are buying this for the light feature, I do not recommend it. The lighting is so minimal that it really doesn’t help at all when you try to out on makeup.I love itPurchased one very similar to this one about 3 months ago and the suction on it, no pun intended “SUCKED “ It kept falling off the bathroom mirror it was on. So far everything is going well so only time will tell if it stays on the mirror. But as of now it’s living up to all its promisesUpdate!!!I purchased 2, as I opened the mirrors, it looked like they needed to be cleaned…. Nope! They appeared to be extremely scratched! As I re-ordered replacements….I don’t know what made me think to look…there was a plastic cover over the mirror which made it look scratched and I was able to take that off. It took a little bit of digging…happy to day…. The mirrors are NOT scratched!Crappy suctionThis works well for my needs, so consider how you want to use it and read different reviews.Falling1. I only use this when I put on makeup and I take it off when I'm done. It has never fallen when mounted on my wall mirror. Average time is about 30 minutes +/-.2. When not in use, I place it straight up on my counter. It hasn't fallen.3. I tried to use it once while seated with the mirror standing on the counter. I had to angle it down (both neck and mirror), and it fell every few minutes.Scratches - The people who complained about scratches and fingertips probably didn't realize there is a protective film on the mirror. The mirror does not scratch like that.If you want something that you wont have to take down, then based on the other reviews this might not work for you.The magnification and light work well for me. Sometimes I don't use the light. It's easy to turn on and off.We have been using a corded 10x magnifying mirror that finally kicked the bucket from the power switch wearing out and needed a new one. I wanted its replacement to be LED, glass, 10x magnifying, and large enough to see entire face without distortion. This one checked all the boxes and also had a suction mount which I though would be really cool to free up counter space and it had the on/off on the mirror itself like a touchscreen! On the back of the mirror is a cover that hides where 4 AAA batteries go. We use the Amazon Basic rechargeables and had just enough for the mirror (ordering more batteries after this, lol) I timed how long the lights would stay on continuously and it is somewhere around 9 hours. A duration that is more than enough for my beautiful wife to do her makeup. If you are mounting your mirror like I did on the bathroom mirror, I recommend putting a large towel or something soft like a blanket, underneath it just in case it falls off. I have read a few other reviewers only issue was that happening and causing the mirror to shatter. Nobody needs 7 years of bad luck ;) Also, you can clean it with Windex and not have any issues with permanent fogging. Just make sure you use a clean, lint free cloth, quality paper towel, or microfiber. Recommend and 2 thumbs wayyyy up!Please click "helpful" so I can see if my reviews content assist you. It would lose its grip after a few days and fall off my bathroom mirror! This one is far superior in every way! The suction hold is amazing! The led lights are brighter, and it was cheaper than the first one I bought from somewhere else! FIVE STARS ALL AROUND !
